The year of the pastel. Pantone saw a need for patience, calm, and peace in 2016 and thus selected rose quartz and serenity as there colors of the year for 2016.

Let’s take a look at some of the wonderful ways you can include either or both colors into your style.

Hair: We know that bold is a big theme for 2016 in hair, but almost a conundrum so it natural and going back to basics. Here are a couple ways to embrace the trends for 2016 and the colors that will shape them.
Serenity (blue) is going to be huge in hair color this year. You can go bold with all over color, especially cute with a short Gatsby inspire bob. Or pick a subtle theme with highlight mixed in a blonde balayage, gorgeous on long wavy tresses. Or maybe something in between is more you style with large chunky layers of serenity, great on any cut.

Nails: The combinations of rose quartz and serenity nail style are countless. For a clean Monday – Friday look stick to short and sweet rose quartz nails. Want to spice up a bit, maybe add an accent nail in serenity or a very modern geometric print with both.
