Here at Athena Salon, Spa & Wellness, we are proud to be an Eminence green spa. In fact, we are the only spa and salon in the northern Colorado area to boast this accomplishment. But what exactly does that mean, and how does it benefit you, the guest?

The Eminence Organics line originated in Hungary some 50 years ago. Their label and accompanying certification assure you that the salon is truly committed to organic, planet-friendly principles. We adhere to the standards set by the Eminence Organics company, which rewards companies and clients who actively support the green movement.

We are committed to the green movement, and strive to do good through our spa and salon services. This can happen when we invest in salon products from a company that has the same values. Eminence Organics is powered by wind and solar, uses green packaging and shipping for all products, and believes in sustainable farming. This means that all salon products have brought good, not harm, to the planet.

Our Fort Collins salon also commits to using less energy by using power strips and turning lights off when a room is empty. We proudly recycle, setting out clearly labeled bins so that plastic, metal, and paper can all be recycled rather than put in a landfill. In keeping with the mentality of a chemical-free environment, we use natural, non-toxic, and biodegradable cleaning supplies instead of chemically harmful products.

Using the products from the Eminence product line also means that you get the very best. Eminence has received numerous awards for its skin care line, and has won the Best of the Best Consumer Choice award. The products have been handmade, without cruelty to animals or mass production, for over 50 years. All product lines are free of parabens, sodium lauryl sulfate, and other harsh chemicals commonly found in salon products.

Eminence has also created the Forests for the Future program, which is committed to planting a tree every time an organic or biodynamic product is sold. Each tree, simply by living, will produce roughly 260 pounds of oxygen each year and help to prevent climate change. A tree also stabilizes the soil and makes land more fertile through nitrogen fixation. Planting a tree has many positive effects on the planet, and buying just one of these products at the salon means you’ve set those effects in motion.
